The Mission

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy acquired this stunning property and created an official mission. This hidden sanctuary is “managed to protect, conserve and restore land and water for the diversity of the region’s native plants, animals, and their ecosystems.”

As you meander through this place, explore the network of estuaries like the Bear Run and Laurel Run, many watersheds, towering forests, and unique native species. In fact, the BRNR remains a pivotal role in creating a biodiversity conservation in the heart of the Laurel Highlands and the mid-Appalachian region.
