Travel Back in History

Bushy Run Battlefield is the perfect place to learn about the past and its decisive battles. You can discover the significance of the event and the story behind it while walking through the battlegrounds. Discover 213 acres of forest that witnessed an important battle during the Pontiac’s War in August of 1763. The British victory at the battle of Bushy Run, against the combined forces of Delaware, Shawnee, Mingo, and Huron warriors, was a turning point in the war and constitutes one of the most significant Native American conflicts in American history.


General Information

The best way to explore the grounds at Bushy Run is to take a tour. All tours are included with paid admission. Follow a certified guide on foot or on a golf cart if you have difficulty walking or need assistance. Tours are available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 3. The grounds and Visitors Center are only open between May and October. The entrance cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
