About This Festival
Since 1970, Mountain Craft Days in Somerset, PA, gives you inside look at the specialty crafts and handmade masterpieces of the first settlers to our area. Each year, the Somerset Historical Center has been the scenic backdrop for this cultural extravaganza. You’ll be delighted by the faux 18th-century farmstead with a quaint cabin, food prepared slow roasted and cooked over an open food, and of course, hundreds of crafts for sale. You don’t want to miss this truly immersive experience!
The main attractions of Mountain Craft Days are the eclectic selection of handcrafted items. As you meander down the wooden path through the village, you’ll pass over 100 booths filled with unique trinkets, specialty items, and one-of-a-kind novelties for you to purchase. In addition, there will be several live demonstrations that showcase how to create these crafts, including a participant spinning flax seed into clothing, as well as live music filling the quiet meadows with the gentle sounds of string instruments.
