Ohiopyle Canoeing

Ohiopyle is a marvelous park for those who wish to get lost in nature and spend a fun day in the lush forests of Pennsylvania. If you want the ultimate canoeing adventure, River that crosses the park offers great opportunities for whitewater kayaking and rafting, which makes for a good way to spend a fun afternoon with your family or significant other.

The Middle Yough is an ideal start point for beginners and skilled kayakers. It features class I and II rapids that can spice up your adventure and provide the little thrills you seek. It’s safe and family-friendly, so no need to worry about a shaky ride.

The Lower Yough is a little more advanced and features class III and IV rapids. It flows downstream for 7 miles and takes you directly to Bruner Run Take-Out. The lower section of the river is exciting, but more hazardous than the previous one, featuring undercut rocks, swift currents, and ledges. Only attempt with a highly experienced guide!

If you are inexperienced, we highly recommend you don’t venture out on your own, especially if you’re unfamiliar with Ohiopyle.
