What Is the Scottdale Fall Festival?

Scottdale’s Fall Festival happens every year at the gazebo in the heart of Scottdale, PA, only 30 minutes away from Oak Lodge. This three-day celebration is held on the third weekend of September and is free of charge! It was established more than 40 years ago to celebrate the town’s 100th anniversary. Today, the festival is a real crowd-pleaser. With its laid-back atmosphere, handmade crafts, yummy cuisine, and a variety of live entertainment, you’re bound to have a great time!

Vendors and Entertainment

Now that you have a general idea of what to expect at the festival, it’s time to see what you can do once you’re there! The festivities usually begin on Friday night and include a meet-and-greet with the Scottdale council, opening ceremonies, and the classic Pinewood Derby.

On Saturday, get ready for an overload of fun! It all kicks off with a 5K/10K Race followed by the highly anticipated parade, cornhole tournament and geocache competition. You can also explore the Scottdale marketplace and buy souvenirs for your loved ones back home. On Sunday, the last day of the festival, attend a car show and the dog parade. Kids activities are also available throughout the weekend.

Tip: Make sure you stop by the food vendors and try some delicious, local specialties! You’ll love the hot sausages, apple dumplings, soft pretzels, and pies.
