Ohiopyle Waterfalls 

One of the most beautiful waterfall hikes near Pittsburgh is at Ohiopyle State Park. This gorgeous area features more than 250,000 acres of woods, with various hiking trails, river views, and, of course, beautiful waterfallsFor a quick trip, head to the Ohiopyle Falls next to the Visitor Center. If you want to venture out and enjoy a walk through the forest, we recommend the famous Cucumber Falls or the Cascades along the River Trail! 

Fall Run Falls 

Another waterfall hike near Pittsburgh you need to add to your itinerary is Fall Run Falls. It’s right outside the city limits and offers incredible water views. The trail is also highly accessible. With only half a mile to hike, it’s the ideal trail for beginners wanting to enjoy the outdoors without being too strained at the end of the day.  

Yoder Falls 

Do you want a challenging hike with beautiful views that few get to see? Then Yoder Falls is perfect for you. The trail is located near the town of Johnstown, 50 miles away from Pittsburgh. Pay attention as the start of the trail is hidden in the woods and requires a steep descent, immediately followed by a climb up the stream bank. The trek to this 30-foot waterfall is best suited for skilled hikers.
